I had a chance to visit The Burger Joint in Old Town Alexandria last week for the first time. I must say, I loved the decor of the restaurant – hip but casual, clean, colorful. 

It’s a order, site & wait, kinda place, so I was unprepared to make a decision about what to order! They have a lot of options for a burger joint, so i’d recommend looking over the menubefore you go.

I had “The Burger” and regular fries…here’s how I rate it:

The Burger:

Elevation Burger < The Burger Joint < Five Guys

The Fries:

Five Guys < The Burger Joint < Elevation Burger

Here’s why though…the burger was good and i’d go back, but I still think Five Guys is better comfort food. The fries were crispy, but not really salty. So if you’re not a huge salt fanatic (yes, I know, it’s bad for you), you may like them more than me!

Locations in Bethesda, Dupont, Alexandria, and soon to be in Arlington.

Overall? I’d go back. Definitely worth a try!
